    The 2010 Rookies Cup got underway in Jerez, Spain, at the beginning of May. British rider Danny Kent was the quickest out of the blocks and came out on top in an exciting season opener. The first Rookies Cup podium was only decided at the last corner as Kent did just enough to see off the challenge of Daijiro Hiura and Daniel Ruiz.
