It is the width of the track at Brno that first impresses newcomers, and making full use of all the tarmac available is not easy. Add to that the rapid changes of elevation and you have a great Grand Prix circuit. A huge contrast to the historic road course that preceded it. Brno Circuit is the largest and the most prestigious racing track in the Czech Republic and it is one out of 17 world-known circuits hosting the World motorcycle championship. Automotodrom is located near the city of Brno. A brand new racetrack was built in 1987 and since the very beginning the most prestigious motorsport events take place here: World motorcycle Championship, FIA Grand Tourismo Championship, Superbike World Championship, World Touring Car Championship, A1 Grand Prix, etc. In addition to these international events, a lot of national car or motorcycle championships take place at Automotodrom Brno.
