With only four races left of the season, the DTM makes its latest stop in Oschersleben.
The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is a 3.667km (2.28m) long race track with a width of 11 - 13 metres and elevation changes of 23 metres. The circuit is located in Oschersleben, Borde, Northern Germany. It's fairly flat contours create a smooth and fast circuit, however maintaining that speed is difficult. The first turn, modified from its original rounded shape into a sharp 90 degree left, is a frequent spot of multi-car accidents, especially on the first lap. There are also key turns to master for a truly fast lap. The end of the finish straight is fastest spot on then entire circuit.
Inaugurated on 25 July 1997 it was Germany's third permanent race track, after Nurburgring and Hockenheimring. Since then EuroSpeedway Lausitz and the rebuilt Sachsenring have been added as a fourth and fifth permanent race track. Motorsport Arena Oschersleben was a traditional venue for F.I.A.'s European Touring Car Championship from 2001 to 2004 and has hosted the World Touring Car Championship from 2005.
