The weekend began with victory for Australia’s Josh Sheehan in the final stop of Red Bull X-Fighters in Sydney. Sheehan nailed three double backflips on the way to the event title which he took after beating New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood. Third place for Dany Torres, meanwhile, was enough to wrap up the tour title for the Spaniard, who won stops in Dubai and Madrid.
Marquez on top
Saturday was another good day – especially if you're Spanish Aragon, Spain, Marc Marquez dominated Moto2 practice and qualifying to take his sixth pole of the season with a time over half a second ahead of his closest challenger Julián Simón.

Stoner back in front
A superb qualifying from Casey Stoner sealed him pole position for the Gran Premio de Aragón ahead of team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Yamaha’s Ben Spies.

Andrea Dovizioso was the last qualifier within a second of Stoner, and he lined up alongside last year’s champion Jorge Lorenzo on the second Yamaha. Then the Italian headed back to the garage to model the riders’ new livery designed by Davidelfin.

Molina's first pole in DTM
Spaniard Miguel Molina stole the show from the established stars in qualifying for the DTM race at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben by clinching his first pole position ahead of Oliver Jarvis and Bruno Spengler. Mattias Ekström took a respectable fourth place but a struggling Martin Tomczyk went out in Q1, having to settle for P14

Taddy triumphant
Polish enduro star Taddy Blazusiak continued his clean sweep of the GEICO Endurocross Series with his fourth victory (of four) in Ontario, Canada. What started with a gold medal in this year’s inaugural Endurocross event at the X-Games has now evolved into a clean score card for all events held so far this season with Taddy right on track for yet another title. This and his five consecutive wins in the notorious Red Bull Hare Scramble at the Erzberg Rodeo have marked Taddy as the rider to beat in this type of extreme Enduro competition. “I am really excited to get another win,” said Taddy. “I’m really happy with this season so far and am really looking forward to the next event.”

Multhull World Series
The 2011 Multihull World Series made Trapani in Sicilly its next port of call, with British Olympic star Ben Ainslie the latest star to take the helm. By the final day, six teams were in with a chance of winning the regatta, including Red Bull Extreme Sailing whose Roman Hagara took two wins and three second places on day four. But in the end, it was Leigh McMillan’s team on The Wave, who made it two in a row winning Act 6 on the back of their Act 5 win in Cowes, UK.

Stoner rock solid
Casey Stoner dominated the MotoGP of Aragon in the East of Spain, scoring his eighth win of the year. The Australian was the class act throughout practice, claiming pole ahead of his fellow Red Bull athlete Dani Pedrosa.

Marquez closes in
Marc Márquez closed the points gap to championship leader Stefan Bradl to just six with another fabulous victory. After an initial fierce five-man fight for the lead that included Bradl, pole man Márquez eventually proved superior.

Swede success
Mattias Ekström led a one-two-three for Audi as the Swede claimed his first victory at Oschersleben and his second win of the year. Championship leader Martin Tomczyk finished second to extend his lead at the top after his closest rival Bruno Spengler had to retire on lap 42.

USA lead way in MX
The Team USA triumphed in the 65th MX of Nations in Saint Jean d’Angely, France. Marvin Musquin (pictured) brought some joy to the home nation as he led France to second place overall, while there were strong individual performances from Ken Roczen and Jeffrey Herlings. “It was a bit disappointing (to finish second) but overall it was a good weekend for me,” said Musquin. “We went into the last race with a three-point lead but the US team is very strong.”
