Texas-Country star Cory Morrow and El Paso’s own The Dirty River Boys rolled through Texas and Oklahoma on the Red Bull Tour Bus.
Cory Morrow and the Dirty River Boys stomped the stage in eight cities in eight days (August 24th – August 31st). Music fans celebrated some good ol' country tunes on the coolest stage on wheels, a restored 1984 GMC Eagle. This was a string of shows nobody wanted to miss!
Cory and the boys travelled in the RB scenic cruiser and did shows on the RB Tour Bus at 7 military bases and 4 colleges. Each military base and college selected a band to open up for Cory. A radio station in each city hosted a contest to find a high school band to open up for the military/college band. Together they created a song about this experience and recorded it at the RB Studios. It should be live on this site soon.
Cory Morrow is a native of Houston, attended college at Texas Tech and then moved to Austin. Cory has a large grassroots following especially within the Texas/Oklahoma collegiate scene. Cory brings a special brand of emotion & energy to his live performances.
Cory creates personal music that harkens back to the heyday of Willie Nelson’s progressive country movement in the 70s. His music can best be defined as Texas Country. Cory has been a Friend of the Bull for over 5 years. He is also considered part of the Red Dirt music scene, that differentiates itself from the popular Nashville music scene.
The Dirty River Boys is a West Texas band redefining genres. The band uniquely fuses classic folk and hints of bluegrass with a modern rock edge. Band members Nino Cooper, Travis Stearns and Marco Gutierrez bring stories of personal experience and heartbroken outlaws to life with their poetic verses.
They also deliver whiskey slamming, foot stomping energy to classic instrument combinations of acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, fiddle, cajon, snare, and banjo. The Dirty River Boys remind those listening that rock and roll is here to stay as long as it is kept a little dirty.
