Errington Favourites © Nicholas Schrunk/Erwin Polanc/Red Bull Photofiles/Anthony Cramp/Worthing Theatres

We track down wakeboarder Adam Errington to his home in Florida, USA, and get him to give us the lowdown on a few of his favourite things...

Favourite movie:
I just saw Inception and that movie was awesome. However, my favorite all-time movie is Snatch.

Favourite book:
I’m not much of a reader, but My Booky Wook by Russell Brand was a crazy book to read.

Favourite TV show:
I’ve always been a big fan of FUEL TV; growing up, that’s all I would watch.

"I’ve recently had the urge to make my own pizzas from scratch."

Favourite magazine:
Wakeboarding magazine just switched to TransWorld Wakeboarding. I’m really excited to see what changes they bring to one of my favorite wakeboarding magazines. Stoked!

Favourite song or artist:
Anything Lil’ Wayne puts out is always unique and entertaining.

Favourite animal:
Not really sure. I’ve always had dogs growing up, so I guess I’d pick a dog – man’s best friend!

Favourite colour:
Blue. I’ve always loved the water and I grew up on the water. That color was kind of destiny in a way…

Favourite holiday:
I love New Year’s because it’s the start of a new year – nothing matters, and you get a chance to make a change and have a great year.

Favourite gadget:
iPhone of course; I couldn’t imagine being without one.

Favourite thing to eat:
I’ve been on a health kick lately, so I’m trying to eat well. However, I’ve recently had the urge to play around and make my own pizzas from scratch. I know it’s not healthy but it’s fun…

Favourite thing to wear:
Basketball shorts and boardies. I’m always in the sun and around water, so I basically live in them.

Favourite place to be:
Australia. Amazing people, amazing rivers, amazing surf, amazing food – plus they have Cavill Ave.!

Favourite way to treat yourself:
Take a quick, last-minute trip somewhere. I just got back from Las Vegas with JD Webb. Our season just ended so we went to have some fun for a few days in Sin City.

Favourite times to get up/go to bed:
Lately, I’ve been in bed by 10:30 p.m. and up at 8 a.m. – I’m trying to get on a good schedule.

Favourite thing to spend money on:
Other people. I’ve never been the type of person to buy stuff for myself. It’s always better for me to get someone important in my life something they want.

Favourite thing to do in your free time:
Hang out with friends and family back home. I’m gone basically all summer, so when I’m home it’s nice to spend time and catch up with friends and family.

Favourite thing about your sport:
The freedom, being on and around water all the time and the travelling. I get to see the world and do what I love as a job. I’m very lucky and grateful.

Favourite sport (other than your own):
Skydiving. Parks Bonifay and I got into it about two years ago and it’s been an ongoing adrenaline chase ever since.

Favourite celebrity or sports star:
Hmm, celebrity? I’d go with Richard Branson because he’s the man. As for sports star, I’d say Courtney Lee, even though he doesn’t play for the Orlando Magic anymore.

Favourite people to ride with:
J.D. Webb and Jimmy LaRiche. Those guys are my best friends and amazing wakeboarders. I feel as if we all push and inspire each other when we ride; it’s always just really positive.

Favourite thing in your home:
My bed, of course. Everyone loves coming hom to their own bed after living in hotels for months on end.

Favourite thing about your life:
That I get to travel the world and wakeboard for a living. Also that I have an amazing group of friends, family and fans who support me and who I love. I thank all who have helped me get there and who support me.
