World number two ranked surfer, Jordy Smith, will be headlining a unique surf event in his homeland of South Africa on January 9, 2011.
The Durban-born star of the waves will be joined by seven further professionals in Cape Town, as the Red Bull Nightshift concept moves to surfing.
Camps Bay will be the venue for a special night of action which will see the surfers being propelled through the water by jetskis.
The spectacle begins at 7pm local time and goes into the early hours as the jetskis fling the surfers into the waves, allowing them to project way into the night sky for some big aerial surfing moves.

The beach will be floodlit for all to witness and celebrate Smith’s standout year on the ASP World Tour, where he finished runner-up to 10 times champion Kelly Slater.
The 23-year-old, who can’t wait for the event to start, said: “I'm stoked to be holding this event with Red Bull.
“Now that the World Tour is over for the year we're just going to be having some good times in Cape Town and cutting loose on the waves of Camps Bay with the help of some jetskis."
